Having worked in a variety of sports at the elite level Dr Branson aims to bring this level of care and understanding to elite, non-elite and sedentary individuals alike. His goal is to allow people to continue to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout life regardless of age.
His current research interests include interventional therapies for tendon problems.
Ruben is also actively involved in the trialling of the new treatment for osteoarthritis with the medication called Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium (PPS). PPS is used to treat the bone marrow oedema associated with osteoarthritis.
When not working Dr Branson enjoys spending time cycling and trying to keep up with his cycling friends on Beach Road. He has previously competed in mountain bike endurance events, criterium races, and has completed ‘Around the Bay in a Day’ and the ‘Alpine Classic’ on a few occasions.
